With four senior varsity wrestlers, our wrest- ling team was known as one of the best in the State. Seniors Sam Clark, Dennis Hile, and Orvis Fletcher won district titles while Orvis Fletcher earned a regional championship. This year our track team was undefeated in duel meets and also won the Big Three meet with DuBois and Punxsutawney. Bill Lewis set a new all school pole vault record of 'll' 4V2 . Joe Bentz won district honors in high iumping while Tom Trout earned three district wins in the T80-low hurdles, 120-high hurdles, and one-half mile re- lay. Tom set a new school record in the high hurdles and was a member ofthe one-half mile relay team which also set a new all school record. Three seniors, John Tornatore, Bill Shively, and Paul Frantz, were members of the golf team. John was a trophy winner and one of six quali- tiers at the District 9 golf tournament. Loris Ire- land, John Axelson, Ira Showden, Don McGarvey, and Lonnie Howell were seniors on the baseball team. Many seniors participated in both the Gym Demonstration and the Gym Clinic. Seniors, Woody Wisor and Judy Walker, won first place honors at the Gym Clinic. Our senior year came rapidly to a close with Shelf Day, Baccalaureate, and Commencement activities. We want to extend our sincerest ap- preciation to Mr. Pritts for the guidance he has given us this past year and to our teachers tor the wonderful help they have given us. This picture has its up's and down's. With Moose and Fish, it's freckles at first sight. BERTRUM G. PRITTS Senior Class Counselor 25 I
