Jim 7960 Senior Officers: Secretary, Pat Rummings, President, Sam Clark, Vice-President, John Axelson, Treasurer, Mona Solomon, Historian, Carolyn Rowe. l' 5 Tell me, are these members of the Senior Chorus really paying attention, or does it lust look that way? As we seniors look back on our last year in C.H.S., we remember a year full of many activi- ties and good times. Leadership for the seniors of 1960 was in the hands ot: Sam Clark, Presi, dent, John Axelson, Vice-President, Pat Rum- mings, Secretary, Mona Solomon, Treasurer, and Carolyn Rowe, Historian. The annual Washington Trip at Thanksgiving time was enjoyed by sixty-seven of the seniors. Those who went will never forget the wonderful and exciting time they had. This year the stu- dents of C.H.S. presented two all school plays, The Trip to Bountiful on November 9 and Charley's Aunt on February 29. Seniors par- ticipating in these plays were: Pat Ziel, Bill Price, Charles Stone, John Shively, Sam Yost, and Torn Lansberry. Many members of the senior class partici- pated in the year's lDownbeat. Mona Solomon and Bill Price attended district chorus at Morri- son Cove, and George Gaylor, Jane Rohrbaugh, and Sharon Podmenik traveled to Philipsburg to represent C.H.S. at district band. George Gaylor was our senior representative at Regional Band. This year's Aqua Prom will be remembered by the 1960 seniors as one of the year's most memorable occasions. In football, Tom Trout received honorable mention on the all district football team, and both Tom and Joe Bentz held honorable mention titles on the central counties team. In basketball, Tom Trout earned a place on the second all district team while Paul Frantz received honorable men- tion on the all district team. Other seniors onthe basketball team were Joe Bentz, Don McGarvey, Conrad Rougeux, John Axelson, Charles Carter, Ira Showden, and Terry Michaels.
