P45522 97 k- 5- TSX . , ' at lv f af f. 5 SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS Tom Halford Paddy Mann Walter Zebrun Helen Macaluso Anna Louise Lope Senior Class History Two hundred forty-four students under the fine leadership of Walter Zebrun, Presidentg Tom Halford, Vice President, Paddy Mann, Secretary, Anna Louise Lope, Treasurer, achieved an out- standing year. Helen Macaluso represented the class as its historian. How well we shall remember our success in all phases of sports. Football and wrestling were well represented by several members of the senior class. Coach Miles Smithis basketball team was especially outstanding, having taken the District 9 PIAA Title, their first champion- ship since 1924. Along in November, the upperclassmen journeyed to Washington, D. C. to overtake the nation's capital. The trip was greatly enjoyed by everyone. january 28, a number of senior boys left with Battery A of the National Guard of Clear- field, including Phil Armstrong, Jim Duncan, Tom Hawkins, Bob Carver, Dan Frantz, and 17 Richard Knepp. One Foot in Heavenf, the all-school play, featured Gretchen Goosman, Dean McGarvey, Joel McKean, Jean Fulton, Fred Heydrick, and LoNeva Lewis who all displayed a genuine tal- ent for acting. And then in March endladies and endmen Jean Fulton, Dorthy Learish, Jack Iohnston, jack Shepherd, and interlocutor, Joel McKean gave another top-notch performance in the annual minstrel show. With the coming of spring, baseball and track were in the air, a number of seniors par- ticipating in each sport. At that time, too, the great speech writers started going into action, the results of their labors having been demonstrated on the evening of May 25, when the students of 1951 received their diplomas, fully realizing their further du- ties Ito Ht themselves as useful citizens of a big wor d.
