DEDICATION Rest not! Life is sweeping by Go and dare, before you die; Something mighty and sublime Leave behind to conquer time! -Goethe There exists in the life of Clear Run High School the spirit of a man whose presence is felt from the lowest blades of grass which covers the campus to the highest branches of trees which surround it. There also exists in the life of the school the force of a man whose inspiration appears in the form of the sincerity of his smile and in the space of his firm handclasp. With this spirit and force, there is a heart so big that it can harbor the problems of unknown freshmen and upperclassmen, The accomplishments, achievements and honors of this man are many and great, and to list them would prove embarrassing for him; for he is not a man who is conscious of his past laurels, but one who moves with time. He labors faithfully and industriously for the good of our school, but seldom reaches the spotlight. We, the Annual Staff, find it fitting and proper to dedicate this 1965 Hornet to the man who has given of his spirit, his force, and his heart to Clear Run High School, MR. C. E. TORREY, our beloved principal.
