'77 l Girls Dribble to Victory The eighth grade A team had a terrific season by defeating LaPorte and taking first place in district. The A team ended their season with 17 wins and three losses. The A team also competed in three tournaments. Placing first in Webster, first in Seabrook, and first in Santa Fe. The eighth grade B team did a fine job with 12 wins and two losses. In the district playoff, Lake defeated LaPorte by the score of 27 to 23, winning first place in district. The eighth grade B team also went to one tournament. At the Webster tournament, Lake played six games, winning them all, and brought home a firstl place trophy. l l The bottom row represents the B team members. They are: Deanna Bazar, tmanageri, Monica Davilla, Michelle Ecord, Debbie Randall, Courtney Young, Meg McCarthy, Michelle Berger, Melinda Holum, Carol Reed, Stephanie Murray, Julie Madison, Leslie Jackson and Charlene Hardy, imanagerl. Wins Dominate in Basketball The seventh grade A team won a near victory in their division with a second place. The B team did almost as well with a third place in their division. The B team competed in the League City f Webster Tournament. They received a third place. The A team competed in two tournaments which were the Clear Lake Tournament, placing second, and the League Cityf Webster Tournament in which they walked away with a third place.
