Jennifer McMillan practices her writing skills. Jennifer McMillan died on March 13, 1983 due to a long, liver and pancreas disease called Cystic Fibrosis. Although she spent a lot of days on the home- bound program, she liked school, Santa Claus makes his appearance at the Winter Medley assembly. enjoyed writing and loved to sing in choir. The following poem she wrote is not about death, but life and how to live it. DEA TH Death is . . . When the sky opens up And all is quiet and peaceful. Death is . . . When you open the door Then close it gently behind you. Death is . . . The ending of one life, The beginning of a new. Death is . . . The one thing we all fear But the main thing that can 't be stopped. So live as you can And go quietly, gently, and peacefully.
