Janet McDowell sings Can't Smile Without You. omni limi IZM Suzanne Knight and Jayme Wise sing a song about commercials. Quay McLean, Heidi Walters, Tonia Doerre and Paula Cole sing the tune One Fine Day. Singing Stars Shine The Pop Show, presented by the seventh and eighth grade choir was just as colorful and ex- citing as ever. There was new as well as old music presented. Some of the old music was Please Mr. Postman, Ain't That A Shame, Johnny B. Goode and Charlie Brown. Cool Jerk, an old song that was brought back by the Go-Go's gave life to the Pop Show. The new songs sung were Africa, Nobody, Swingin and Shadows Of The Night. One traditional song that is used every year is King Tut. The choir students showed much talent. Michelle Carter and Heidi Chumley sang Shadows Of The Night while Marci Mayfield sang a solo of Hard To Say I'm Sorry. Donny Gay, Chuck Magill, Jay Tanet, Geoff DeBerry, Steve Young, Chad Stewart and Greg Smith per- formed the traditional King Tut. To end the show, the group Intruder, consisting of Alex Sarabia, Carlos Gonzalez, Timmy Macik and Brett Rhoades sang the Def Leppard hit Rock Of Ages and Ozzy Osbourne's Paranoid

Sixth graders participate in a dance of their own in a hallway. Sixth Grade Plays Paper Football While the seventh and eighth graders were at the dance, the sixth graders made paper footballs to have a paper foot- ball contest. Many sixth graders didn't participate in the paper football contest. Instead, they went to see The Muppet Movie. As the dance progresses, many students Paper football kicks off as the referee Mr Pau Shepich checks footballs loose their shyness and step out on the crowded gym floor. 19
