Concert Choir Projects Professionalism , '-4-nl itll-56 QL, The Concert Choir is the 'top' choir at Clear Lake Intermediate. The Concert Choir performed at the December PTA Concert, March Concert, Spring Choral Festival at Hofheinz Pavilion, and at the end-of-the-year Pop Show, Students from this choir perform in a Pop Group and Gospel Group for various other functions. Ten of these students earned a place in the junior High All-Region Choir. All Region Choir members representing CLIS are Layna Attar, Aleta Cerisano, Zane Chumley, Katrina Lava, Amanda Tutt, Mur- ray Bishop, Mike Darby, Robert MacGregor, Marc Mazade and Eric Mikkelsen. Orchestra Boasts A Great Year Advanced Beginner R as O A . l In termediate The orchestra is sponsored by parents, teachers and Mrs. Steele. Mrs. Steele is the one primarily responsible for the success of her students - and they have had many suc- cesses this year. There are 40 students in the beginning or- chestra. The group sports t- shirts displaying four scrolls which represent the four dif- ferent stringed instruments. Seventh and eighth grade students participated in re- gional orchestra tryouts. The orchestra also had several students play in the Universi- ty of Houston at Clear Lake Community Concert at Christmas time. The orches- tra members also entered the UIL contests and took part in the PTA Homemaking Style Show and in a combined String Fling for district string students.
