The 1978 Girls' Volleyball Varsity Team was a successful year, with a 8 and 3 record and a 2nd place finish in Regionals. We faced good competition throughout the year, and showed everyone that we were capable of handling it. Our four seniors provided us with excellent leadership and experience , and our younger players come through with plenty of hustle and determination. It was an enjoyable season working with these girls and I'm looking forward to another good season next year. The 1978 Jr. Varsity Volleyball squad was one Clear Lake can be proud of. We started out the year very inexperienced j from there they never stopped progressing. It was a team filled with emotion, desire, self-discipline, and cooperation. They worked themselves to a 6 and 5 season; not a winning record, but a team of winners in every other sense of the word. I hope we can work it out to get them all back again next year! Coach Robers 18 We’ve Come A Long Way First place trophy at the Chetek Tournament. We were inexperienced, but we competed on a level with some schools that have had a program for 3 and 4 years. So 1 was pleased with our performance this year and look forward to an even better year next year as we have many returning players who can provide the needed experience for a good year. There's a season for maturing When we think and work and grow, And a season for the harvesting of all we've come to know ... And each successive season grows still richer than the last, As treasures of the present add to memories of the past.
