CLASS MOTTO With the ropes of the past, we ring the bells of the future. CLASS FLOWER White Carnation CLASS COLORS Blue and White CLASS HISTORY We entered high school in September, 1956, with an enrollment of sixty students. Our officers were: President, John Peterson; Vice President, Sharon Gilbertson; Secretary, Connie Paulson; and Treasurer, John Oliver. Our float received third place in the Homecoming Parade. The advisors were Mrs. Jacobson, Mrs. Regelman, and Mr. Greschner. During our Sophomore year, we had the good fortune of winning the class tournament. For officers we selected Joan Lenselink as president, Robin Hoover as vice president, Sharon Lien as secretary, and Janice Buhr as treasurer. Our advisors were Mr. Payne, Mr. Poznik, and Mrs. Hoover. Once again our Homecoming float received third place. Yvonne Briesemeister was the president for our Junior year. Her associates were: Vice President, Connie Paulson; Secretary, Deborah Holldorf, and Treasurer, Jeff Hilton. Mr. Payne and Mr. Kuechler guided us throughout the year. This year we moved up the ladder; our Homecoming float received second place. The three one-act plays -- Sparkin', Life of the Party, and Jerry Gets the Fever --were coached by Mrs. Kelly, Our Prom theme was Blue Hawaii. We chose Queen Sharon Lien, King Gary Rothe, attendants, Sharon Gilbertson, Rich Hammelman, Bonnie Peterson, John Petersen, Connie Paulson, Bill Skapyak, Joan Lenselink, and Ronnie Fox, Peggy Hilton, and Kent Peterson as our royalty. We were all very happy to receive our Junior class rings this year. In spite of our many joys during our Junior year, we were saddened by the death of one of our classmates, Joyce Daniel. President Lynn Torkelson, Vice President Bob Eggert, Secretary Bill Olson, and Treasurer Connie Paulson headed the activities of the class of '60 during our Senior year. Due to weather conditions we had no Homecoming Parade. Deborah Holldorf and Rich Hammelman were our Homecoming Royalty. Again, we held three one-act plays-- Shock of His Life, It's Cold in Them Thar Hills, and Father Says 'No’ --coached by Mrs. Kelly. Our Graduation was held May 20, 1960. The Valedictorian was Connie Paulson and the Salutatorian was Joan Lenselink. Richard Hammelman and Joan Lenselink received the American Legion Awards. 24
