ecY A glimpse into the future, into the lifes school to reminese with the Senior Class of »4-9'. La Gardia Field, New York, New York. May 28, 1959. I Anna Mae Brihn, secretary with the American Airlines, has arranged for a class reunion, a trip abroad to tour the European Countries. Marvin Koser, Mryl Reed, Norman Johnson, Dean Soderberg, and Alvin Paulson who are still residing near Clear Lake on their respective inherited farms are s ated with me in the public lounge. While conversing with these men, I learn that Kenny Wright is president of the Nations] Association of cattle dealers. Clifford Jones is employed by Mr. Wright as branch manager of their Chicago office. Alvin Fau]son while on his recent trip to California to visit with Phyllis Wienberg, now a dress designer for RKO'S Wardrobe Department, was delighted to have a short visit with Don Nord and Chuck Anderson who have established their private chemical research labratory in Berkley California. While visiting with these successful chemists, he had the opportunity to attend the opening of Jimmy Peterson's Orchestra at the Frand Hotel in Berkley. Coning through the large archuay of this lounge are Shirley Strief and Elaine Newville. These ladies I understand sre registered nurses at the Memorial Hospital. To my astonishment I learn that Duane Jones head surgeon at the hospital and Elaine assisted Dr. Jones in the tonsilictony of Professor Monson of Harvard University. Alger disclosed that two of the boys from our class are now holding responsible positions at the University. Donald Stewart is Dean of Men and Bob Erickson is head of the mathematics department Arriving now are Delores Rothe, Elaine DeBore and Betty Hahn who share an exclusive apartment which is also their office for their public secretarial work. The girls had opportunity to be of service to William Schultz who was in New York to attend the convention of National retail merchants. At the Stork Club where they were entertained by Schultz they heard Marion Brihn sing with Keith Goodspeeds Orchestra. They also received excellent service from Jerry Soderberg, now Sherman Billingsleys head waiter. My attention is averted to a comotion at the entrance. The remainder of our class have arrived. John Barney Athletic director for the U. of Wisconsin. Doug Kruger Art Crictic for the New York Sun, and Jean Hanson Society Editor for the New York Times. Joanne Junkans and Margaret Zurcher are co-owners of the advertising agency. Oscar Olson is starring in the Broadway hit Loves of Ludia. Beverly Titel is now owner of the Hare fur company in Massachuetts. After greeting Ardell Kruger, formerly (Frenkson) who devotes all her time to her husband and son Doug Jr. We are ready to board the Mammoth Flying Fling designed by F.C. Lurdberg. From the window of the cockpit we see the familiar grin of our handsome pilot, Wa. ne Larson. We learn that Wayne has been flying passenger planes abroad for several years and finds this work very satisfactory. We are all aboard and ready to take off. Good Bye U.S. our destination is Europe, the Class of '49'. 14
