Front row left to right P Stedman T Euckhofl L Farrington D Deschamps L Richardson Middle row J Sted man H Vestal J Hayes B Oakes J McDanuel M Davidson R LeMueux Back row S Butler J Slade S Butler E Weisz S Holdenrued M Lydrc A Kuppunger The Girls Athletuc Association has been very active thus year under the leadership of our presudent Lois Farrungton and coach Muss Petrequun We got underway early un October with election of officers and plans for sports wuthun the school year The officers elected were President Beverly Tracy Vice President Lois Farrington Secretary Treasurer Duane Deschamps Executive Member Pat Stedman The plans for the GAA were to engage un three main sports volleyball basketball and softball to have two unutuatuons and to award large blocks and stars to those who have earned them After many practuce sessions we had two games with the Kelseyvulle gurls one volleyball the other basketball We won both games the scores were 76 l2 for the volleyball game and 36 l2 for the basketball game After playing these games the gurls from both schools enloyed one of Mrs Rays delucuous spaghetti dunners Our next game was basketball wuth Upper Lake and again we came out on top The final score was 37 21 After this game all were invited to the cafeteria for refreshments On March a volleyball tournament was held here with gurls from Upper Lake Kelseyvulle Lower Lake Middletown and Lakeport competung Each team played four games Muddletown came out on top winning all of these games Thus was a thrilling afternoon for all who participated During the year we held two well organuzed unttuatuons as planned Our furst was un December This turned out to be quite an affair one which I am sure will be remembered by the girls for many years to come. The spring initiation was very successful and the G,A.A. gained many new and enthusiastic members. Large blocks were awarded at a student body assembly early in April to Toni Eickhoff Lois Farrington Diane Deschamps and Lee Richardson. 41 Miss Petrequun
