FRESHMAN SCIENCE CLUB Science is for those who learn. -Roux Row 1-Iudy Davis, Lynn Moon, Kathryn Hinsch, Billy McGiboney. Row 2 - Terry Mullan, Larry Mc- Donald, Gary Frstler, Richard Eliasen. Row 3 - Dave Fluharty. Darwin Lyons. Mr. Hoskins. Tom Castle. Gordon Knutson. FRESHMAN SCIENCE CLUB Freshman Science Club was organized in 1953 to interest freshmen in science. Mr. Harlow Hoskins is the director. The members meet the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. The club makes field trips, works experiments, and listens to guest speakers. Freshman Science Club is open to any freshman boy or girl with a C average or above. The officers this year are: President, Darwin Lyons: Vice President, Gor- don Knutson: Secretary, Richard Eliasenp Treasurer, Terry Mullan.

SCIENCE CLUB Science Club was formed in 1952 to broaden the .scientific interest of students. Its purpose is to further the interest of students already interested in science, to attract students to the scientific field, to increase the members' lmowledge of science, and to give a general knowledge ot most types of science. The requirement for Science Club is two semesters of science with a B average. The activities of Science Club this year have included photography, plas- tics, and television. A number of guest speakers have given talks on these and other subjects. Two field trips were taken to the Great Lakes Pipe Line and to the medical laboratory at the Mason City Mercy Hospital. The Science Club is a member of the Iunior Academy of Science of Iowa and the Science Clubs of America. The officers this year were Lowell Bryan, President: Ianet Iorgenrud, Vice President: Margaret Monaghen, Secretary: Allen Iohannessen, Treasurer.
