Row 4 - Grant Wright, Arlo Lien, Dick Thomsen. Gary Miller, Don Shields. C CLUB In 1926, the C Club, one of the oldest organizations in this school was founded. Any boy who earns a letter or is student manager of one of five sports is eligible to become a member. The sports are basketball, football, track, golf and baseball. The -main highlight of this year was the initiation of new mem- bers which was a test of good sportsmanship. Also the C Club sponsors a booth at the Pep Club annual carnival. They also choose a king to represent them. The homecoming queen and her attendants were nominated by them. The officers this year are: Grant Wright, President: Dick Thomsen, Vice President: and Ierry Gaylord, Secretary-Treasurer. The sponsors were Dyle Martin, Charles Edwards, Del Mully and Bob Erwin, coaches.

Iudy White. The Girls Athletic Association is a medium by which girls can express themselves in sports. Play-for Play's Sake is the motto of the organization. The purpose of the G. A. A. is to foster a spirit of good sportsmanship and co-operation and to stimulate in- terest in a variety of wholesome recreational activities. Points are earned in intarmural tournaments and in outside activities. For 500 points, numerals are awarded: for 750 points, a letter is awarded: and for 1000 points a G. A. A. pin and certificate are award- ed. Any girl is eligible to become a member of G. A. A. as .soon as she earns 100 points. Among the sports programs provided, the most favored is the intramural basket- ball tournament. The district G. A. A. play days are held twice each year at the var- ious schools. YOUTH ON BEAM Youth On the Beam is one of hundreds ot Bible Clubs in high schools across America. The twenty-two members meet together in the music room of the high school once each week for Bible 'studies and discussions. A number of guest speakers have brought challenges to the club during the year. In the interest of the community, this group sponsored the public showing of the Billy Graham film, Oil-town, U. S. A. , and also carried out the project of getting Christmas tracts into the hands of Clear Lake Christmas shoppers. The officers this year were: President, Geraldine Brower: Vice President, Norman Froiland: Secretary-Treasurer, Marlys Gobelip and the sponsor was Mrs. Frank Moninger.
