DICK PETERSEN: Pete, a Sen- ior lineman, was big and rough this year lor the Lions and cer- tainly proved his ability. LARRY HUMPHREY: Larry was by far the team's biggest man. He did a good job in the middle ot the line. IOHN HAXTON: Iohn was a big HM BROWNING: lim was a good Iunior lineman for the Lions and Senior end this year and was BILL TARR: Bill was a good back lor the team this year, al- though he acquired a shoulder injury in the Webster City game and was unable to see any more action. Bill is a Senior. CO-CAPTAIN MIKE MOELLER: Mike, though small, gave all he had to the one ol the Conferences out- improving even up to the last team- He WGS quite a morale standing linemen. COACHES Del Mully p I Del is our head baseball, basketball and assistant football coach. He started college at Iowa State Teachers College, but in 1943 he entered the armed forces. After three years in the Army he returned to I. S. T. C. to finish his college education. He majored in' physical education and minored in mathematics and commercial subjects. Mr. Mully coached at Forest City and St Olaf college before he came to Clear Lake. Beside his coaching duties, he teaches algebra, driver training and is a C Club sponsor. Charles Edwards t Chuck is our mathematics and chemistry teacher. He attended Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls where he majored in chemistry and biology and minored in mathematics and safety education. During his last two years at I. S. T. C. he was on the varsity wrestling team. Before coming to Clear Lake, he taught at Iesup, Iowa. Besides his teaching duties, Chuck is a C Club sponsor, Science Club advisor, assistant football coach, and head coach of the golf team. Dyle Martin 1 5 V , Pep is head football and track coach and assistant basketball coach He received his B. A. degree from Simpson and his M. A. from Drake. While in college Pep played football, baseball and track. Before coming to Clear Lake, he served four years in the Coast Guard and taught three years at Tama, Iowa. Along with his coaching, Mr. Martin teaches social science sociology, physical education and is a C Club sponsor. .59

GARY PATTSCHULL: Gary made the All-Conference backtield this year and was the tearn's hard- est runner to bring down. This is Gary's last year. CO-CAPTAIN IOHN ASHLAND: l'Butch was a Senior lineman and was always in there giving it all he had, Butch will be greatly missed next year. He could always be count- ed on to come through for the team. This was Rocks last year.
