To become a member the girls must earn 100 points and undergo an initiation. The girls may earn points by participating in school activities, in intramural programs, and in outside activities. A At 500 points numerals are awarded, and,at 750 points a C . When a girl reaches 1000 points she receives a trophy. The purposes of F. H. A. up are: To promote a growing appreciation of the joys and satis- factions of homemaking: toemphasize the importance of worthy home membership: to en- courage Democracy in home and ,community life: to work for good home and family life for all: to, promote international ,good will: to foster the development of creative leadership in home and community life: to provide wholesome individual and group recreation: and to further interest in home economics. The Clear Lake Chapter was founded in 1953.
