Fifty boys checked out iootball equipment when practice opened in late August, and from this group it was necessary to build a completely new team. The Lions Won 2 and lost 6 for the season, ending up in sixth place in the North Centeral Conference standings. The team showed great improvement game to game and many of its losses were by close decision. The Lions have nine lettermen re- turning for next season and their rapid improvement during this year should be a warning sign to next year's foes.
