The Home Economics Club, which has been recently organized initiated its new members by requiring that the typical homemakers garb and equipment be worn for one day ot school. The year's events included: Christmas caroling, a cosmetic party, a tatfy pull and a picnic. The Home Economics girls have Won Homemaking honors twice during the short time they have been organized. This year's float in the Homecomming Parade won second prize. The float was a huge box of Lux Flakes and bubbles depicting lt Lux with us, We'll Win . The vocal music department of the high school is under the direction of A. B. Engen. The mixed choir consists of 65 members, the girls' glee 70 members and the boys' glee 60 members. There are also some 20 members in small groups. This year has been a full one for the vocal department. They have sung in many programs, festivals and contests. All groups together put on a very impressive concert this year. Each group has also sung a greater variety of songs than any other year. To earn a letter a person must be in music three years or earn 1000 points. A person earning 2000 points will receive a large music letter, and a person earning 3000 points will receive a gold key. Four years' participa- tion will earn an additional high school credit.
