The Future Farmers of America is a National organization of farm boys taking vocational agriculture in school in all states of the union, including Puerto Rico and Hawaii. ' The primary aim of Future Farmers of America is to develop agricul- tural leaders through member participation in F. F. A. contests, chapter meetings and programs. To develop cooperation through purchases, class discussions. To build better local communities by community service pro- jects. To develop a more satisfying farm home life and more efficient farmer- citizens through the boys experiences in raising livestock and practicing thrift. , The Clear Lake Chapter was founded in 1949 and has grown consider- ably. PEP CLUB Pep Club was organized in 1950 for the purpose of promoting better school spirit and more sportsmanship throughout the high school. Members of Pep Club are required to attend all meetings and games. To distinguish the members from the school body, the girls have chosen a uniform, white lolouses, black skirts and gold sweaters. The sponsor of this organization is Miss Christensen. The officers are President, Dorothy Wedeking: Vice President, Barbara Gilquistg Secretary, Patti Patton: Teasurer, Donna Moretz. PC2 PC2, the physics and chemistry club is under the direction of Mr. Charles Edwards, science instructor. The Club- is affiliated with the Iunior Academy of Science of Iowa. The aims of this club are to promote the interests of science and give its members a chance to increase their knowledge and develop skills in science. There were twelve members this year. Each member had their own project. The meetings were held on Wednesday evenings in the science room. A special program was presented at each meeting. Any junior or senior with a B or above for one year in science is eligible for membership.
