Bow 3-Marcia Watson, Tom Miller, Mike Moeller, Ida Markworth. Row 4-Gordie Thompson, Margaret New- man, Dorothy Wedeking, Marjorie Baum. The Student Council is a very active organization that was organized in 1945. The purpose of the Student Council is to provide better expression of student, to increase unity between faculty and student, to improve school spirit, and to develop and maintain democratic ideals. This group sponsors assembly programs, homecoming activities, and school dances. An Open House for parents was held this year to acquaint the parents with their children's classes and teachers. The officers were Dorothy Wedeking, President: Mike Moeller, Vice President: Margaret Newman, Treasurer, Marjorie Baum, Secretary. Spon- sors are Mr. Weaver and Mr. Banning.

HONOR. SOCIETY Our chapter of the National Honor Society, the Semper Fidelis Chapter, was organized in 1931 under the sponsorship of Miss Catheryne Chambers. Its purpose is to create enthusiam for scholarship and sincere desire to serve our school, to promote leadership and to develop character in the students of Clear Lake High School. The members of our Honor Society are chosen by the faculty from the upper third of the junior and senior classes. New members are initiated twice a year, in November and March. The officers are: Margaret Newman, president, Dorothy Wedeking, vice president: Ioann Steege, secretary: Marjoirie Baum, program chairman: Miss Chambers, treasurer. Mr. Weaver and Miss Chambers are the sponsors. Bow 1-Nancy Ludwig, Don Benner, Dorothy Wedeking, Margaret Newman, loann Steege Row 2-Miss Chambers, lim Wright, Alberta Heitland, Marjorie Baum, Mr. Weaver.

Row 3-Ken Huntley, Holmes Pedelty Bumps Wright, lim Minette, Dick Peterson, Butch Ashland, Gary Pattschull, Don Webb Mr Mully. C CLUB The C Club was founded in 1926 and is one of the oldest organiza- tions of this school. All boys who earn a letter in the five sports: basketball, football, track, baseball and golf are eligible to become members. Student managers are also eligible. Then they must be voted in by old members and pass the ini- tiation which is a good sportsmanship test. The requirments for a letter are set by the coaches. This year introduces a new sport, golf. It is taught by Mr. C. Edwards. The officers this year were, President, Le Roy Draves: Vice President, Don Benner: and Secretary-Treasurer Bill Skellenger. The sponsors were coaches Del Mully, Dyle Martin and Charles Edwards.
