During the course of the year we accustomed ourselves to the high school rou tine We left our freshmen year with the loss of five students Marlene Jgneg, 1ayne Larson, Ruby Springer, Joyce Henning, and George Martin Sf Gr Jhen we began our second year we had twenty eight students Dur ing the year we added two more to bring the total to thirty The two were Marilyn Mindrum and Russel Kittelson Our sophomore year ended with the loss of four students, they were Ivan, and Ione Kittel, Jean Ravnes, and Marilyn Mindrum lhen we entered our third year, we had twenty four students. r ing the year we lost three students, Peter Kuchman, Hazel Lewis, and Russel Kittelson our class play, 'Miss J1mmy,' was presented on February 7, at the ggmmunity hall It was well received The proceeds from the play will be spent to sponsor the Junior senior prom to be held May 2 if JUNIOR CLASS PLAY 'Miss Jl my', the Junior class play was given Friday, February 7, 1947, under the direction of Ars Flathe The cast included the following Louise Florence Catherine Doris Harriet eGrayce Bjurstrom Rosemary Curtis June Rau Dawn Becker Barbara 'arlson arl Mewes Lorraine Dade Norman Murray Harold Anderson Droopy Miss Hatkins Jimmy Prof Frazier The action of the play begins when Jimmy is forced by his frater nity brothers to enter the g1rl's dormitory in search of a g1rl's dress to wear in an initiation stunt At the same time, the girls are finding it difficult to get dates for their big dance of the year with anyone but brothers, cousins, and uncles Vhen they capture Jimmy they decide to make his fraternity brothers escort them to the prom by holding Jimmy for ransom From then on the action is fast and unex pected The girls have a time keeping Jimmy hidden from Professor Frazier and the dean, Miss latklns To complicate matters they all fall for Jimmy and try to win him Jimmy tries to escape by posing as a visiting nurse in Lou1se's dress Vhen everything looks clear the chief of police, who has a long record tor catching kidnappers, appears Much of the comedy falls on the shoulders of Droopy, the colored Janitor, who moves about as fast as a snail that is not in a hurry The only thing that interests him is his chicken farm, which hatches full grown chickens by night The Juniors hope to make their play next year even more sue ceesful than this year fsiw-ff is is 1 I Q C was XX, xx ' I if . .D ' 0 4' 3lxX nr If ' ' Af' .- in r -'M O ,A'7 XS ,my X O 'fr ,Q S -'E ' ' 1 ,, Aww 46 U ' sl 54 94 'WJ' M 5 Q Q area WA Z 00 I w Q J , ' 4- . ff we Q9 w,,N , qv..
