We are a very enthusiastic group of graduates, but a bit timid about going out in to the big world. But now the curtain falls and as it rises again, we are in the year 1956 The scene is the Metropolitan Opera House in New York A sign reads 'Sophie Fall Opera Singer Starring' The crowd is all go ing in, and sure enough' There is Kent Plahn and his wife Kent is a very famous and prominent lawyer A Kent buys the tickets, Bil Olson, in a sailor suit and his girl come up The four go ir, f nd their seats, and the first act is about to begin Sophie has gone a long way in the opera world as a singing star After the show the foursome go to a night club The place is called Hop s Inn , ard as you could expect, Mr and Mrs Lelon Lewis the former Betty Ann Fouks, own the club Jeanette Peterson is work ing at Hopws as a singer and dancer Jeanette sees Bill and Kent and as she is about to Join the party, there is a bright flash and Gladys Istel, who is a flash reporter, snaps their picture The re union is a cheerful one As the conversation goes on, they begin talk about their old classmates of 1946 Stephen Van Heuklom and Charles Bitney have taken over their fathers' farms Walter Moskal is mar ried and is the county agent for Barron Lloyd Rowe is also farmlng south of Clayton As the nignt goes on, Anna 1BSCh1S1H wanders in on the party, Anna has been a cashier in a bank for the past two years but now she says she is golng to get married and settle down Hop has Joined the party and says that only last night he read an article about Carver Fouks Carver is head coach at the Universit of iscon sin, and there was a picture of him holding a trophy which e received for being one of the outstanding coaches of the year The conversation again turns back to the town of Clayton Mary Jean Backes is a housewife and along with her husband and two very fine children owns a dairy farm about six miles east of twon Thomas Tricker is foreman at the Ioel Chicken Factory He is married and lives in Joel Duane Lenander, with his four strapping youngsters own a farm west of Clayton LeRoy Knutson has a hired farm hand and is .. ..,, .
