The victory over Pensville was the first victory over Pennsville in their 18 year history . john Langford was selected as De- fensive Back of the Week, by the Brooks Irvine Football Club, for his outstanding play in the Kingsway game. The following week Mike Willet was selected as Lineman of the Week, by the Touchdown Club of South jersey, for his great effort in the win over Pennsville. The following five games were hard fought losses in which the defense dominated Clayton' s performance. Stanley Williams was chosen Defensive Lineman of the Week, by the South Jersey Touchdown Club for an out- standing game agaisnt Salem. Although the season ended with a 3-6 record, Clayton outscored its op- ponents 98 to 89, which indicated a consistent performance by the defen- sive team. Several ofthe boys were chosen to All Star Teams at the end of the season. Mike Willet and Stanley Williams were honored as Frist Team All Tri- County and All South jersey Group I. Tony Williams was selected hon- orable mention All South jersey Group I. The Clippers started off slow, but eventually came on strong Winning their fifteen out of sixteen games. They also have surpassed the Clayton record for the most Wins in a season currently at sixteen. The Clippers are tird for first and have a strong chance of becoming the county champ, or co champ. It will be the first for Clayton if they can pull it out and it looks like they Will.
