IAMES CRETCHER, teacher of Eng! lish and Public Speaking, also finds time to coach the Track Team. GEORGE STUBER, Director ot Boys' Physie cal Education, sponsors the Greyhounds and the C Club, G. E. RICHTER is another member of the Music Department and Director of the Orchestra. BLANDFORD IENNINGS, instructor of English and English Literature, also sponsors the Dramatic Guild and Scribblers, The remaining member of the Music Department is DONALD IESSOP, Director of the Band. HELEN DYER sponsors the French Club and teaches French. RALPH STAFFORD, teacher ot Biology, sponsors the Radio Club and coaches the boys' Volleyball Team, The Vicarious Club and Riding Club are under LELIA LED- BETTER, who teaches History. EARL GREENE is Clayton's Physical Education Supervisor and coaches the Soccer Team. GEORGIA WALKER is in charge of Clayton's Vocal Department, directing the Chorus and a Cappella. SAMUEL HALL is the schools safety director, sponsors the Stamp Club and teaches Shop. MELITA DENNY teaches Latin. Mathematics is taught by WILLIAM LANGTRY who sponsors the Chess and Checker Club. HELEN CRAMER teaches girls' Home Economics. Sponsor of the Discussion Forum and the Table Tennis Club is HOWARD CUMMINGS who teaches Psychology, and History. ELIZABETH TOMLINSON sponsors the annual Speech Contest, teaches English, and is in charge of the Debate Team, The Peppers are sponsored by SARAH DRITT, teacher of Mathematics who heads the National Honor Society and is Dean of Women, A new addition to the Clayton faculty this year is FORD BRADLEY, teacher of English and sponsor of the Student Council and Sophomore Class. LILLIAN BEERS super- vises several study halls and coaches students in their work. RALPH HARRIS was also added to the faculty this year as instructor of the new course in Driving. CARL BURRIS is Principal of Clayton High and is Secretary of the Mo. Athletic Association. IOHN L. BRACKEN has been Superintendent of Clayton schools for the past eighteen years, and supplied most of the photographs for this and many preceding yearbooks, The Board of Education is headed by WALTER H. BESTE, President, THOMAS M. SCRUGGS, Vice-Presi- dent, MRS. VICTOR W. KERN, Secretary, and ROBERT T. WENGLER, Treasurer. Other members of the Board are IESSE T, FRIDAY and CLIFFORD F. ZELL. HEYS, Economics instructor, is faculty advisor to the CLAMO Publications and also teaches Iournal- ism and Sociology. GEORGE GRUENINGER teaches Bookkeeping.
