The girls played fair and square and never gave up fighting till the game was over. Also they had the bacon to bring home. They were badly handicapped by the loss of their pitcher, but Marion Short capably filled his position. We ranked second in the County League, losing only to Danville. The squad continued its winning streak of the two previous years by winning seven of ten games. The squad was well coached by Carl Fisher.
