On August 29, the class of RS ascended the stairs to the High ' School for the first time. When all had been counted. it was discovered that thirty-nine had answered the f-all. On September ll, they were L initiated and were then considered full-iiedged high school students. Dur- 5, ing the year, six of the class were lost. if The class was well represented in all school activities, having mem- bers on the bovs' and girls' basketball teams. boys' and girls' baseball teams, in the Glee Clubs. reading contest and high school minstrel. The Freshmen gave a program Thursday. March 3. which went over big. In the inter-class contest for attendance at the Countv Tournev. the I Freshmen and Juniors lost, having the least percentage. Therefore they had to pay the penalty and entertain the Sophomores, Seniors and Faf-ultv. The officers chosen were: Richard Edmondson. President: Floyd I Scott, Vice-President: Mary Alice Ludlow, Secretaryg Richard Nicholson. 3 Treasurer: and Mr. Jones, Sponsor. The class colors chosen were red and white: the flower was a red rose and fern.
