In l826. classes were held in a one room wooden schoolhouse localed in iron? of 'rhe presenr grade school. This school house was replaced by a four room brick build- ing and expanded 'ro Jrhe Grange Hall over a period of one hundred years. The original 'rhree slory s+ruc'rure was cons+ruc+ed in I93O. A+ +ha+ +ime ir was a superior and progressively designed edifice. An addiiion was buili in I949. providing more classrooms. Today, 'ren years laier, This building is serving as a grade school. As lime progressed. addirional grades were added un+il Voorheesville became a charrer high school in I943. Wirh each new building, ihe program 'rhar could be provided for 'rhe siudenis was exrended and improved. Today, Jrhe new high school, a modern. one srory brick and glass srrucfure. is beauiifully siiuared iusi benearh +he Helderbergs. This school provides 'rhe esseniial classroom and office faciliiies. as well as adequare physical educaiion 'reaching posrs. an audiiorium. and a modern cafeieria-kiichen combinaiion.
