Miss Patricia Davis represented our high school as a queen candidate at the Mentone Egg Show. The queen was chosen on the basis of her poise, personality, and beauty. Miss Sue Edington was chosen by the student body to represent Claypool High School as a candidate for the Fair Queen Contest. The candidate with the most penny votes was crowned queen. LLQQNA OXZ. CZ Day Miss Patricia Barnhart was chosen as Mermaid candidate for the annual Mer- maid Contest. She arrived on a float, which represented a flower garden, that won first prize.

The sponsor and co-editors did much work on the annual. Miss Huether gave Sue and Marge many ideas for this pub- lication as it was entirely new for this school. flci,LVLi,LeA Reeofzcfecf The business staff sold the annuals and supervised the sell- ing of ads. They also did their part when it came to preparing pages.
