Claymont then traveled to River View for the section- al finals. Tusky Valley was the first vic- tim, falling IO-6. On the finals, errors killed the Mustangs, as they lost 7-6. In a highly con- tested game, CHS lost to Car- rollton 4-3. This pulled the Mustangs out of the Senate League race. But Claymont didn't give up, winning the last three games of the season, defeating IVN 7-2, Lake ll-3, and Tuslaw 3-O. the season's only shut out. The Mustangs finished third in the Senate League, with an 8-2 league record. The team had an excellent .32l batting average, but on the other hand averaged three errors a game. l.
