The Mustang tracksters ended a fine season with a dua meet record of 4-3. The thinclads opened their dual seaso by destroying the Tuslaw Mustangs by a score of IOS-l9. Th men from Claymont then lost a tough one to Dover by scant three points, 65-62. Traveling to New Phila. was pro: perous for the Mustangs as they defeated thei adversarie 69-57. Claymont then evened their mark, losing anoth close one to Coshocton 65M to 6IV2. The tracksters w their next two meets, beating Carrollton 97M-28V2, and M nerva 83-44. The thinclads then lost to a very good Fairles team 93-34 to end the dual meet season.

The I6 wins was the most wins in one seaon in CHS history. Head Coach Bob Johnson was ex- tremely pleased with the year's effort. The season got off to a good start with a 7-3 win over Tusky Valley. Claymont then traveled to Dover. The game was close, but Dover prevailed 65. The Mustangs traveled to Connotton Valley, and defeated them handily IO-5. The Mustangs were on the road once again, this time to Cambridge, only to be defeated in a low-scoring contest 3- 2. Minerva was the next in line, and the Mustangs pulled out a 4-3 victory. After leading through most of the game, Sandy Valley pulled out a 7-6 victory in the last inning. Things were a bit rocky for the Mustangs, with a 3-3 record. But then Claymont put it all together to have a string of IO consecutive wins. Claymont started it all by taking a twinbill from Ridgewood I7-O and ll-4. An earlier loss to Dover was avenged 6-4. Northwest was next on the schedule. The lead changed many times, but Claymont came out the winner IO-7. Claymont then played an impor- tant Senate League game against Carrollton.
