All halls were quiet and the classrooms were empty as preparations were made for the next year. The stu- dents and teachers took a sum- mer break and also prepared for the next year. In August, all events will begin again, and alot of work will be put into everyth- ing to make l982 a year to re- member. They were set on the right track. Now they must keep the wheels rolling and graduate with as much pride as the class of l98l. How will l982 turn out? Well, these teachers' faces seem 'to say it all.

They went through hard times to- gether, such as the death of their fellow classmate Lance Vickers, and they've been through -many good times. The class achieved some high academics with 34 members graduating as members of the National Honor Society. This is the most to be inducted from one class in Claymont's history. They've seen many changes take place in the teaching staff and school administra- tion. May 24 brought mixed feelings for the sen- iors. Most were sad, for it was the last time the class of '8l was together. But it was also happy, for they have accom- plished a great feat in life and took their first step toward the future. 'Y
