J K Roundballers End IO-II The Claymont Mustang basketball team ended with a IO-ll overall record and an 8-6 record in the Senate League. Coach Rick Cox was pleased with this year's season, despite the ll losses. The season got off to a good start as CHS de- feated a tough Akron East team 68-64. The Mus- tangs put it all together by defeating Ridge- wood handily by a score of 7l-52. CHS then traveled to Coshocton only to be beaten in a close 52-5I struggle. Claymont won their first Senate League clash, defeating Tuslaw 7l-53. Salem was the next foe. The Mustangs played hard against this tough team, but came up on the losing end 67-60. The Mustangs now had to face I2 straight Senate League opponents. Beginning on the right foot, CHS defeated East Canton 68-57. But then the Mustangs traveled to Lake and lost a close 66-62 game. The Mus- tangs then put together a string of 4 straight wins. Sandy Valley 67-48, Northwest 69-68 in three overtimes, Carrollton 6049, and Minerva 58-54. The Mustangs were rolling. But as a winning streak begins, so must it end, and the team that stopped Claymont was Tuslaw, 67- 63. CHS then bowed to Lake for the second time of the sea- son 72-7I. This was the fourth loss of 4 points or less for the Mustangs. Claymont then got on the winning track, de- feating East Canton 68-55. lt looked like the
