ji DEDICATION Dear Diary: We, the Tiskelwah staff and the senior class, wish to dedicatethis edition of the yearbook to a gentleman of high moral and spiritual char- acter, to one who has devoted his entire life to the schoolroom, to edu- cation and to the molding of young lives. Mr. Herbert King has long been known to Clay High students as the teacher who puts up with no foolish- ness, doesn't like the sqawk box Cintercoml, and teaches the boys to safely manipulate all shop machinery-and miraculously produce lovely articles of furniture. Sponsor of the Hi-Y, abranch of Y.M.C.A., Mr. King, with his slow, steady smile, has always exemplified in his life the high ideals of clean and healthful living, based on Christian principles. The father of three boys, Mr. King is also grandfather to six youngsters. His wife is Mrs. Mattie King. He plans to retire this year after devoting 44 years to Clay Schools. He will be greatly missed, but his teachings will long be remembered. 9
