QHRMMMQ DEDICATION 4 4 4 We the members of the Tiskelwah Staff on the behalf of all the Seniors take the greatest pleasure in dedicating this volume of the Tiskelwah to the parents of the Senior Class. These were the ones who gave so much and received so little that we might go on to a better and braver future. They helped us over the rocky ways, patted us on our backs when we needed encouragement, financed our clothes, ball games, movies, and cokes. Perhaps seeing us receive those long desired diplomas will repay them in part'for their twelve years of hope and work that we might achieve one goal held dear by each of them-the goal of high school graduation. -5-

This is the story of a year at Clay Highp It is our hope that the in- cidents revealed upon the printed page will recall elusive memorable occasions, not just today, but in 'later years. Below is the town which we invaded each September and held until May, when we gave it back to its inhabitants. Hearty Words, Partner Parting Though ts As the doors of this school close behind us As the sounds of our footsteps fade, We envisage four years in their passing And the contacts with life we have made. We've made friendships that will not be broken Tho through life we are drifted apart. The loyalty and faith, now we are seniors, As freshmen, we had from the start. As green little freshmen we gathered With thoughts of long years to dread. But quickly were sophomores-then juniors- As seniors we now look ahead. We leave behind, along with our memories, As we start out on life's highway, Our thanks and feelings of kindness To everyone who helped pave the way. -Jeanette Hamrick -6-
