The teachers' view ot a student Students are so interesting. They are protoplasmic creatures, as are jelly fish and orchids. They respond to food, fads, automobiles, and assignments in that order. They are so capable, so dependable, so trustworthy when they 'need' the family car. They are so helpless and listless, or perhaps down- right lazy, when confronted with homework. They are allergic to dirty dishes and disorderly lockers. They spend hours washing, waxing, and polishing their cars, swimming in the pool, practicing ball, and conversing on the telephone. They carelessly forget to make up assignments accrued during an absence. When a teacher is absent, they thoughtfully send flowers: and the morning she returns greet her with He11ol Glad to see you're back. Without a doubt they will develop in time into responsible citizens quite capable of managing tomorrow's world. They present a fascinating challenge to the teacher and to the teaching profession. I2
