And the beat goes on Saturday in the Park was the prom theme for last year ' s gala event. Many hours were spent hanging picturesque murals and arranging decorative furniture and tables. The result was a park scene. The guests danced to the beat of the band. An after prom followed at the Niles YMCA. Those attending swam and played basketball and ping-pong. A piano was provided for those who could play. The prom was officially over when the clock struck three. However, this wasn ' t the end. Tower Hill provided sunshine and relaxation for an enjoyable after the after prom. I above right: Ron Hardiman at the piano or can it be Elton John? above: a scene from after the after prom. right: Mark Meyer, Bill Mulligan, and Jim Pierce hang murals before the prom. 20
