This left the choice of subjects for senior English classes up to the individual teachers. English improved a student s opportun- ities to learn and communicate more effectively with others. Students Enjoy Services Mrs Helen Manuszak — Nurse Along with their regular classes, students were ()ff( red many special services throughout the year. Study halls provided valuable time for completing unfinished homework. Health services were provided for any student who became ill or injured during the school day. The library contained books, research material, magazines, and newspapers that were essential for many classes. Students ith speech difficulties were aided by speech correction classes offered every Friday.
