The team posted a 3-8 overall record and a 2-5 conference record. Coach Kerber accredited this to lack of enthusiasm and constant effort.” Clay City played Dieterich, the conference champs, early in the season and came within one point of defeating them. This was the closest any team ever got to defeating the champs. The Wolves placed third in the Clay City Invitational, and they lost their first Midland Trail Conference tournament game. There were only three seniors out for the sport. They were Wendell Simmons, who was picked for the All-Conference baseball team; Mark Turner; and Alan Uphold.
