Let's take a peek the Class of 1950 1S reallzed it had been old classmates, so I them 5-euro: C Ia.s.s Propnecw into the future Just for curlos1ty s sake, and see what do1ng The tlme is shall we say, ten years later qulte a number of years since I had last seen any of my declded to take a cross country tr1p to try to locate Whlle readlng the sports page, th1s headline caught my eye JACK FLESNER PITCHES SPECTACULAR GAME FOR BROOKLYN DODGERS I xmmediately dec1ded to Journey to Brooklyn to catch the local boy ID actlon In the CHSUIDQ conver sation 1n the dugout, Jack lnformed me that Paullne Rudlger was making her debut at the Metropol1tan Opera House 1n New York C1ty later 1n the even1ng As I walked into the House who should usher me to my seat, but the former Jockey, JUH1OP Yunko, who had secured an ushering p0S1t1OD after being barled from the Horseraclng Assoclatlon We made an appolntment to go nlght lublng together We chanced to go 1nto the El Morrocco where we caught the floor show Imag1ne our surprise when the star of the show turned out to be a former Clay Center beauty, Wanda Ham She was appearlng w1th Wesley Schl1ep's orchestra My next stop was Ch1cago I went into one of the leadlng department stores to the Lost and Found Department, much to my surprlse, I found that Betty Ann Jensen was ln charge From here I went south to Cl1nt, Texas I visited the radlo station and heard a fam1l1ar vo1ce advertislng guaranteed portable radios at S3 98 each Upon 1nqu1ring I found it to be Rodney Bergman Rod was very pleased to play my favorite song, HToot Toot Toots1e Goodby'n I next Journeyed to Mankato, Kansas Taking in the sights of the town, I happened to glance at a used car lot Slgn, Merrill's Money Saving Car Market The former Betty Jane Richert conv1nced me of the practicab1l1ty of renting a car to contlnue the rest of my tr1p I was caught speeding lnto Denver, and given a ticket to appear before the c1ty maglstrate I was very relleved to Ilnd my former classmate, Dale Holst, behind the bench Dale let me off Wlth a brief lecture on careless driv1ng I contlnued my tr1p by tra1n As I looked out the train wlndow, I saw a slgn 'Cactus for Sale H A fellow passenger told me we were passlng the famous cactus ranch owned by Mr and Mrs Dale McClanahan She was formerly Mary Ann Cook Arriving at Las Vegas, Nevada, I was met at the statlon by congresswoman Ellen McCrory, who was campalgnlng for re election Ellen 1nv1ted me to Jo1n her in calllng on Wesley Garrison the proprietor of Nevada's largest gambling casino As we were dr1v1ng through town, I saw Duane Vicary sweeplng out a creamery stopped to talk, and he told us he was also tap dancing three nlghts a week make ends meet Well, I had seen all my old pals, so I boarded the plane for home 12 w .
