Early in the school year the organization sponsored a Sadie Hawkins dance that proved that the girls were as good if not better escorts than the boys. At Christmas the girls sponsored a successful assembly to which the admis' sion was a food product for the baskets that were given to the needy. MGT Cluls Piloted by Bill bell the Club navigated through o busy and eventful year The Club has several duties among which are to help the Freshmen regu- late themselves to the routine of the school, to preserve order in the school, and to act as school firemen. At the carnival the HC Club had its traditional cider booth which proved to be an oasis to the thirsty crowd The annual C Club dance was held on April l2 in the gxrn which was decorated as a night club. The girls elected their own officers who were: President, Carol Jones, Vice A President, M a r j o r i e l-lermo, and Librarian, Marie Soderstrom ln a setting of daffodils and spring flowers the Glee Club gave a successful alumni dance on March l5, During the dance refreshments were sold at a musical bar, On April 5 the VVillamette A Capella choir presented a concert in the gymnasium, The girls arranged for their appearance and were in charge of the following reception forthe guests. To mcse this year one of great importance the Glee Club also sang at the Christmas vesper services, the operetta, Tune ln, the music festival at Rainier on May lO, and operated a booth at the carnival, l-l i-l.iles l'Extral Extral Annual off the press. In the Ready Made Fame ily, two old friends, who had once been sweethearts and who both had families, were finally married after several hilarious events which cen- tered around their screwy children, of which one had fits, another talked baby talk and ali tried to make themselves as unpleasant as possible, The Sunshine Twins, merely two pesky children, in an attempt to spread happiness in the Robinson Household, nearly drove their parents crazy along with everyone else they contacted, A combination of dramatics and music provided an evening of entertain- ment for the public on March 8 when the combined Glee Clubs presented Tune ln, airected by Miss Willianws. Tune ln was a lively modern oper- etta which took place in WTNT Clatskanie, The plays which are presented each year give everyone with talent the chance to act This year many hidden potentialities were discovered, Tri 5 HYAEA-H Tigers began the pep assemblies conducted by the Seniors' Social Society iTri Sl whose main function is to take charge of the Hpep assemblies which advertise to the student body the coming basketball and football games Many original skits and surprise speeches added variety to this year's prograrns.
