President's Address JEROME JACOBS Parents, teachers, and friends: We, the class of l96l, extend a most hearty and cordial welcome to you. lt is most fitting and proper, on this occasion, to acknowledge the everlasting debt of grati- tude that we, the graduating class, owe, first to you, our beloved parents, who have made this day possible by your endless hours of toil and sacrifice. You have given us the foundation which we need as the stepping stone to further knowledge. Today we welcome you as guests of honor and place upon your heads in token of our filial love and devotion a symbolic wreath of laurel. To our teachers we give a most sincere greet- ting in appreciation of your great patience, untiring effort, and helpful guidance in pre- paring us for our future careers. The glory of whatever success we may achieve is yours. We shall always hope to prove worthy of your confidence and trust. To our friends, also, whose words of encour- agement have brightened many seemingly dark days we stand indebted. Although the principal purpose of our school- ing is to gain knowledge, we shall, never the less, be greatly rewarded by the lasting friend- ships we have made at Classical. ln conclusion, I would like to offer our heart felt greetings to all.
