J 75' I Avi? j ime envelops us, lifting and hurling us headlong 0 Towards eternity, rushing relentlessly over Our futile dreams, our former loves, our life-long Hopes. The rampant tide crashes over Our close-cabined sphere and sweeps tomorrow To the moment, casts us at the brink to face Perspective, to view our ioy or future sorrow, Success and life or death. Before us space Extends to time, between an age we wait And grasp at gay times, familiar faces, enduring Memories the tide shall never inundate. The past surrounds us, soothing, reassuring, Beyond, the future lies obscure in vain Coniecture, behind, the past, our ioys remain. if G 4'QVff Our thoughts traverse the transient high school years With reminiscent sadness contemplate, A score of vivid memories appears, As myriad echoes of the past relate A tale of happy times. A football game-- Rough, rousing cheers--bold courage burning bright, A special dance, a whispered name, A touch of stardust silvering the night. The friends who shared the toil of everyday, The countless qualms before a final test, The milestones that we passed along the way, The weekends that lent life an extra zest These will remain a lasting memory Of friendships made and constant harmony.
