Special homerooms such as Drama Club or Blue and White take place during school in addition to afterschool. In the past as well as in the present cultural activities have played an important part in students’ lives. Weekends are not centered on homework, but on other events, such as dances, “movies, bowling, etc. In the early 70’s, however, protests and rallies played a large part in students’ lives. Winning and losing seasons have fluctuated over the decade. In the latter part of the decade girls sports have emerged producing various new teams. Co-educational gym has also made its debut.
