With our dogs as guides we should like you to explore the halls and classrooms, to meet the administration and students of Classical High School and perhaps share our feelings of gratitude and, of course, regret for all that wc are leaving. J DEDICATION J Miss lsahel Kagwin A charming lady loved hy young people throughout her forty-four years at Classical High School, for her quick wit and wise counsel is Miss lsahel M. Kagwin. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Holyoke College, and teaching three years in Rockville, Connecticut, this fine teacher came to Clas- sical High School, where for several years, she taught hoth mathematics and French. French being her principal interest, Miss Kagwin further studied the language at McGill University, Wellesley College, Columbia University, and at two summer sessions of L7Alliance Francaise in Paris, France. As chairman of the modern language department for twenty-I'our years, this petite lady made even the most obstinate student almost enjoy menacing suh- junctives and the partitive outline when studying under her supervision. More warm recollections include scenes of a hushed classroom with silence suddenly shattered hy a sedate hgure standing hefore a lanky gum-chewer quite gingerly admonishing the hoy with a simple hut meaningful, Hlllnierlii To a kind woman and a grand teacher, with Wllhree cheers and seventeen tigers , the Blue and White for V157 is affectionately and gratefully dedicated to Miss lsalxel M. Kagwin. 4
