Batt was talking with a group of broad-shouldered young fellows almout footlwall. Although the two men were busy, they stopped to chat with me. Fearing to keep them from their lalmors any longer, l tiptoed out of the room. When l stuck my little. wet nose into the girls' gym. lVIrs. Andrewes and Miss Mende beamed joyously. Craciously. they invited me to enter. Miss lVlende related many interesting anecdotes about her ski meets. and Mrs. Andrewes thrilled me with her tales of the beautiful places she had seen. Arousefl by an intense pain in thv pit of my stomach, I trotted down to the Iunchroom for a dog biscuit. I was amazed by the hustle and bustle in the cafeteria. Everybody was busily preparing food. How- ever, Mrs. Sanderson, taking pity on me, gave me a bite to eat and sent me on Iny way. As I was leaving, I paused to admire the nealness and cleanliness of Classicahs cafeteria. Un my way back to class, I spotted Mr. Eaton repairing a loose wall fixture. He glanced up and smiled. I waved gaily and proceeded down the hall. ,lust then the bell rang! I rushed back to class, barely managing not to collide with a cleaning lady who. equipped with duster, was walking rapidly through the hall. As l sank exhausted on the floor, I thought with pride of our capable lnnchroonn ladies and custodians. THE CUSTODIANS who keep Classical clean and neat arc IROW lt Thomas Donnelly, Margaret 0'Brien.
