THE SCIENCE TEACHERS E. C. Qlivcr. f are Miss Emma Baltis, Mr. James T. U'Dunnell, Miss Eilccn Fitzgerald, Mr. H W' 'tl I.yncl1. and Mr. Alt-ph G' 'Hot diggity dog diggity, boom . . .' - Whoops, sorry lVIr. Lynch? Hperfectly all right, fat-head, muttered the chairman of the Science Department, as he headed into 3211-. Perhaps he was a bit startled at seeing a kerry blue in the ancient and dignified halls of C.H.S.g so I skipped after him and pre- sumed to introduce myself. After a few minutes of small talk with lVIr. Lynch, I followed my nose, and led by the horrible odor issuing from 321, I entered to find Mr. Oliver busily concocting a smok- ing potion in the chemistry lab. lVIuch as I enjoyed SCIENCE 24 conversing with lVIr. Oliver, I retreated rather hasti- ly and entered room 318 gasping for air. Miss Fitzgerald was most solicitious about my health, and offered to share her lunch of yogurt with me. I declined this honor, however, and chatted with Miss Battis. Then after waving hello to lVIr. O'Donnell, as he hurried by with an armload of papers to be corrected. I traipsed down the hall thinking that Classical certainly is fortunate in having such un- usual science teachers.
