THE MA'l HEMA'l'ICS 'I'EACllliHS are Row I: Miss Dorothy Parkman. Nliss Edna Marston, Mrs, I-It-len Flanagang How 2: Mr. ,Iamcs O'Donnell. Mr. Leland Smith. Mr. Armen Jermakian. MATHEMATICS Alter several torturous hours of trying to make my budget balance, l decided to seek assistance from Mr. Smith of the math department. With a few deft strokes of his pencil Mr. Smith totaled all my columns and settled my accounts. Then and there I decided that I must take one of the excellent math courses offered at Classical. Since I was anxious to meet the other fill'llllQy memhers of the department, I took a whirlwind tour. meeting Mrs. Flanagan, Miss Marston, Miss Parkinan, Mr. jermakian, and Mr. Oillonnell. Mrs. Flanagan was buried deep in tho midst of a cookhook, look- ing for a new and tempting recipe. Not Wishing to disturb her. I tiptoed quietly out. In the hall, I met Miss Marston, who was busily rushing to a Red Cross meeting. I quickly jumped out of her way and trotted into Mr. lermakianis room. I-Ie was thumbing through piles of envelopes, look- ing for different types of stamps. After talking with him about stamps and sports. I hriskly seampered out of his room and down the hall. As I skipped along, who should I see hut Mr. Oillonnell, armed with camera and film. He mentioned that after school he was planning to take some candid shots of Springheld. l hurried away. thinking what interesting teachers there are at Classical.
