Barhara Wright perform the sem-retarial work for Classival High S1-hool. After a vhat with the secretaries I found out to my chagrin that il is Miss Elizabeth Stone. who handles all the scholastic' revords of the students. I heat a hasty retreat to room I05 where Miss Stone paused in her work to help me. I was amazed at the tremendous amount of paper work she had to do. Deadline tomorrow! Uh, my goodness! I had forgotten the feature article I had to write for the school newspaper. I had just a few hours to inter- view Mr. Hatch and write the article. ln a flurry of excitement, I dashed down the hall, mentally outlining my article. Immediately, I arranged for an interview with Mr. Hatch. lVIrs. Sheehan told me to take a seat as I would have to wait a few minutes. As I started to plan my questions, I realized that, although I saw lVIr. Hatch practically every day. there wasn,t too mueh I knew about him. Whenever I saw him, he was busily absorhed with one of his many duties. Mrs. Wright interrupted my thoughts hy asking me to enter Mr. Hatchis tiny office. My eyes focused on a desk piled with papers and students' records. From behind the stack, Mr. Hatchis face peered. Sitting down, I plunged into my questions. From our conversation, I obtained an insight into Mr. llatehis multifarious activities. Ile spends most of his spare time f little that hc has f with his family. He also enjoys puttering around the house. Bozo, the family dog, is a delightful amuse- ment for everyone. Moreover, it is very evident that Mr. Hatch has a genuine love for his job, for he emphasized his desire to help troubled students. When the interview was completed, I realized lVIr.
