Mrs. Preble instructs students, including some senior boys, in cooking nutritious and economical meals. A Thanksgiving dinner is prepared by all of Mrs. Preble's classes and served at noon before the holidays. Mrs. Smith teaches good grooming habits to the seventhgrade classes and sometimes has little skits and plays showing the right ways of grooming. During the year she makes way for a style show by helping students with their own Paris Originals which they will model in the show. JUDITH BLEDSOE BA, West Texas State BA, Southeastern State College MA, New Mexico Highlands Department Head The basic factor that links nation with nation and man with man is communication. Language is the fundamental element of communication. To- day the knowledge of other languages is becoming much more useful to the individual. To help ac- complish this, Classen offers three languages- Spanish, Latin, and French. A student may take up to three years of any of these languages. Mrs. Fowler heads the Spanish department, Mrs. Bledsoe teaches Latin, and Mrs. Roach instructs the French classes. MRS. HELEN ROACH BA, OU Sandy, you're missing out on the joke!
