Hvmefs Prepare for Garvers Classen's curriculum offers a wide variety of courses for the students planning to enter the field of business. These courses include Bookkeeping, Business English, Business Math, Business Machines, General Business, Typing, Shorthand and Transcrip- tion. Instruction in these courses is given by a staff of well-qualified teachers. Heading this department is Mrs. Julia McPheeters, who has done much to help the students obtain the necessary fundamentals for achievement in business. Language is the fundamental element of communication. To- day the knowledge of other languages is becoming much more useful to the individual. To help ac- complish this, Classen offers three languages- Spanish, Latin, and French. A student may take up to three years of any of these languages.
